Roy Roberts, President and CEO
Alliance of Professionals & Consultants, Inc. (APC) was founded in 1993 by Roy Roberts after retiring from IBM.
Today, APC remains committed to the same core values that Roberts first put forth and that continue to anchor the company’s success - solid ethics, unwavering integrity, open communications, empathic caring, and a constant focus on quality and excellence.
"APC’s commitment to our values is extremely important," said Roberts. "It is what differentiates our approach, our people and our relationships. Holding true to these founding principles has enabled us to attract amazingly talented people and work with some of the world’s finest organizations. It has also enabled both our clients’ and our company to succeed."
Previous to APC, Roberts joined IBM as a systems engineer and later switched to sales. He earned a BS from Brescia University, an MBA from Butler University and a PhD-equivalent from IBM’s Systems Research Institute.
Roberts was selected as 2012 Triangle Business Leader of the Year and 2008 Triangle Business Leader of the Year by Business Leader Media. He currently serves on the U. S. Department of Commerce’s National Advisory Council on Minority Business Enterprise, on the Board of Trustees of Brescia University, is President of the American Indian Chamber of Commerce of North Carolina, and serves as a mentor to several minority entrepreneurs.
APC has been recognized by Fortune, Forbes, INC 500, and has won numerous awards, such as 2007-2008 Supplier of the Year by the CMSDC and 2008-2009 National Minority Service Firm of the Year by the U.S. Dept. of Commerce.
