Blanket Purchase Order Agreements
Blanket Purchase Agreements (BPAs) offer a simple method for filling
anticipated, repetitive service and product needs. Acting essentially as
"charge accounts," government ordering offices may establish BPAs
with GSA Schedule contractors, like APC. APC is experienced working with BPA customers who have individual and
multiple agreements. (Federal Acquisition Regulation 8.404)
BPAs offer substantial benefits and advantages. GSA Schedule contracts don't
have to be re-negotiated for GSA Federal Supply Schedule BPAs. As a purchasing
option, BPAs eliminate contracting and open market costs (search for sources,
the need to prepare solicitations and the requirement to synopsize the
acquisition). BPAs also allow for faster turnarounds, reduced administrative
efforts and paperwork, and streamlined ordering procedures without dollar
limitations on individual tasks or delivery order.
