    Insurance: Medical, Employee Assistance Program, Dental, Cancer Protection

    Medical
    APC provides health insurance through one of the industry's most reputable carriers. Coverage may include a spouse and/or children.

    The health plan includes:

    • Options for using in- and out-of-network doctors, hospitals and facilities
    • Eye examinations, discounted lenses and frames
    • Prescription drug plans
    • Mental health and substance abuse services
    • Discount rates on secondary medical practices (chiropractic care, acupuncture, massage therapy, etc.)

    In addition, APC offers an optional personal cancer coverage plan that focuses on the costs associated with treatment, therapy, recovery and counseling.

    Employee Assistance Program
    APC's Employee Assistance Program provides services such as assessment, short-term counseling and referrals to help employees deal with life's occasional difficulties. Confidential assistance can be provided for:

    • Stress/emotional problems
    • Other personal concerns

    Dental
    APC offers optional dental coverage with competitive group rates. The dental plan includes:

    • Visiting the dentist of your choice

    Financial: Retirement Programs, College Savings, Life Insurance

    Retirement Programs
    401K and IRA:

    • APC Employees may participate in the 401K program, a tax-deferred retirement savings plan, sponsored by American Funds, which includes a variety of investment options.
    • APC employees may also invest in both Traditional and Roth IRAs.

    College Savings Plan
    The College Savings plan is an optional tax-advantaged 529 Savings Fund specifically designated for an employee or any beneficiary's higher education or professional training costs.

    Life Insurance
    APC offers optional life insurance coverage to ensure financial obligations are addressed in case of death.


    Security: Worker's Compensation, Short- and Long-term Disability, Accidental, Long-term Care

    Worker’s Compensation
    APC provides insurance to cover expenses incurred if an employee is injured in the workplace or in the course of employment. This compensation insurance plan covers medical bills and provides compensation for any missed work (up to statutory limits).

    Long-Term Disability
    In the event employees become totally or partially disabled due to injury or sickness, APC provides long-term disability insurance once the elimination period has been met. APC covers 40% of an employee's monthly salary towards long-term disability at no cost to the employee. An additional 20% coverage can be acquired, if desired.

    Short-Term Disability
    APC offers short-term disability coverage as an optional benefit. This coverage provides a source of income if an employee becomes disabled on a short-term basis due to a sickness or off-the-job injury.

    Accidental Insurance Plan
    APC offers this optional insurance plan designed to help cover expenses associated with an accidental injury. This coverage may be used regardless of any other insurance an employee may have.

    Long-Term Care Insurance
    APC offers insurance that provides for future care such as facility and home/community-based services. This optional plan is for employees and their immediate and extended family.


    Perks

    Direct Deposit
    APC offers Direct Deposit of all compensation to your bank account. This includes appropriate handling all deductions for insurance and retirement programs. In addition, full-time employees are eligible for and encouraged to use personal Paid-Time Off (PTO) for holidays, vacations, illness and personal days.

    Credit Union
    APC also offers a Credit Union membership to our employees, which provides access to competitive loan rates, higher savings rates, no-fee checking accounts, financial management services and other financial programs.
